ABOUT
Tubb Quarry is a shotrock limestone quarry, that provides quality materials for West Texas contractors. The quarry is located on the Big Spring Mesa approximately 10 miles south of downtown Big Spring.
Professor of Geology, Clifford Cuffey, describes the material at Tubb Quarry as rock cut from the lower cretaceous limestone, which is part of the Fort Terrett Formation and the lower part of the Segovia Formation. These limestone layers were formed in a shallow sea that once covered most of the state of Texas approximately 100 million years ago.
The products produced at Tubb Quarry are NOT caliche. It is a pure limestone, providing superior compaction. With over 50 years of mining experience, we are confident that we can provide you with all of your material needs.
